RLI promotes Casey to vice president

PEORIA, ILLINOIS, May 30, 2002 — RLI has promoted Brian Casey to vice president and claim counsel.

Casey will manage all major claim litigation and other matters assigned by RLI President & COO Michael J. Stone.

"Brian has distinguished himself as a most effective manager of major complex claim litigation," Stone said. "The breadth of his education and professional experience has brought an invaluable perspective to our claim department."

Brian Casey joined RLI in 1996 as a manager, claim department. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 1998. He came to RLI from Travelers Insurance, where he was a director in the Home Office Liability Unit. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and University of Connecticut Pharmacy School, Mr. Casey practiced law for seven years before joining Travelers.
